A local entrepreneur in Crawley, West Sussex, has seen his food advice video reach over two million views after sharing a way to save money on breakfast. Samuel Lopez, who runs the Crawley Food platform, posted the video on 2 March 2026 to show how diners can get more for their money at a popular pub chain.

The video demonstrates that buying two breakfast muffins at JD Wetherspoon is cheaper than ordering one large breakfast. By purchasing two muffins for £3.09 each, customers receive two free drinks, making the meal £6.18—one penny cheaper than a single large breakfast priced at £6.19—while providing an extra beverage.

This viral success is part of the Crawley Food Tour, an ongoing project to highlight different restaurants and cafes throughout the town. Mr Lopez aims to use the attention to encourage more people to support local hospitality businesses, including small takeaways and community cafes.

Before this video gained national attention, Mr Lopez spent four years campaigning for a Taco Bell to open on the High Street. The restaurant eventually opened its doors at 7-10 Grand Parade on 23 January 2026 following several planning delays.
