Makers Markets are returning to Haverhill, Suffolk, this spring to offer residents a chance to shop for handmade goods and support local businesses. West Suffolk Council has confirmed the first two events will take place on Saturday 7 March and Saturday 4 April 2026.
The markets will run from 9 am to 3 pm and feature a range of stalls including handmade crafts, fresh food, and unique gifts. More than 80 small businesses are set to take part across the council’s market events in Haverhill, Bury St Edmunds, and Newmarket.
Visitors will be able to use the Lower Down Slade short-stay car park, which is located behind the library. The car park is being improved with new surfacing between 2 March and 4 March 2026, with the work paid for using money collected from parking fines.
During the market days, Haverhill Library will act as a central hub for the community. The library also serves as a donation point for the Reach Haverhill foodbank for those who wish to drop off items while visiting the town centre.
