Southend United drew 1-1 with Truro City in a National League match held at Roots Hall on 3 March 2026. The result in Southend-on-Sea, Essex, comes as the home team continues to compete for a place in the league play-offs at the end of the season.
According to Southend United, the visiting team took the lead in the 32nd minute with a goal from Rekeil Pyke. The home side managed to level the score early in the second half when forward Charley Kendall scored in the 52nd minute.
Goalkeeper Owen Mason, who is currently on loan from Mansfield Town, made a vital save from Truro’s Dom Johnson-Fisher to prevent the visitors from doubling their lead. This result leaves the home side with a record of 15 wins and 53 points for the season, while Truro City stay at the bottom of the table with 25 points.
The match took place just one day after the club was drawn to play away against Southport in the semi-final of the Isuzu FA Trophy. That cup fixture is currently set to be played on 28 March 2026.
