Two men have been sent to prison for their roles in a Class A drug supply network in Southend-on-Sea, Essex. On 3 March 2026, Essex Police confirmed the final sentencing following an investigation that removed key drug operators from the streets.
The case began on 18 December 2025 when officers stopped a vehicle in Shoebury Road. During the search, police found packages of cocaine which were later confirmed to have a street value of up to £14,700.
William Innes, aged 33, was sentenced to four years in prison on 11 February 2026. Daniel Summers, aged 34, was sentenced to 35 months in jail on 3 March 2026 for his part in the network.
Detective Sergeant Leo Fordham stated that the investigation was part of a wider effort to dismantle organised crime groups in the area. Authorities will now use the Proceeds of Crime Act to try and take back any money gained from these illegal activities.
