On 4 March 2026, the Pleasure Beach Resort in Blackpool, Lancashire, released the first official footage of its new multi-million pound attraction. The video shows the ride, named Aviktas, in full operation for the first time as it prepares to welcome visitors later this year.

The new attraction is a giant swing ride that carries 40 people at once. It reaches a height of 138 feet and swings at a 120-degree angle, which makes it the tallest ride of its kind in the UK.

This project represents a £8.72 million investment by the park to bring more people to the coastal town. The footage allows residents to see how the ride moves and the views it offers before it opens to the public.

Aviktas is expected to open in the spring of 2026. When it is finished, the ride will swing people out over the coastline at its highest point.
