Detectives are investigating a daylight robbery at Garnier Jewellers on the High Street in Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire, which took place on Monday, 2 March 2026. The incident happened at around 11:15 am when two men on a moped targeted the shop.

The men were reportedly armed with a chainsaw and a machete when they arrived at the premises. They used the weapons to smash a window to gain entry to the store and steal items from inside before leaving the scene.

Hertfordshire Constabulary has launched an urgent appeal for witnesses or anyone with video footage to assist with the ongoing investigation. Officers are specifically asking for dash cam footage from any drivers who were in the area at the time of the robbery.

The Broxbourne Community Safety Partnership is working alongside the police to support the investigation and provide reassurance to local residents. Local councillor Alexander Curtis has also shared the official police appeal to help gather information from the community.
