Residents in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire, will have the chance to quiz their top police and fire officials during a live online meeting on 31 March 2026. The Northamptonshire Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner, Danielle Stone, and Chief Constable Ivan Balhatchet are hosting the session to talk directly with the community.

The event will run from 6:30pm to 8pm and will be broadcast live on Facebook and YouTube. This is the second time the leaders have held such a meeting, following a pilot session in October 2025 that saw more than 100 questions sent in by the public.

During the broadcast, officials plan to provide an update on 13 specific tasks they agreed to work on after the last meeting. The session is designed to let residents raise concerns about local issues like shoplifting, road safety, and how town centres are policed.

According to the Northamptonshire Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner, people can also ask about broader topics such as neighbourhood safety and violence against women and girls. The aim of the meeting is to help residents hold their local leaders to account and see how safety strategies are being put into action.

Anyone who wants to take part can send a question early by emailing [email protected]. Questions can also be posted in the comment sections during the live stream on the night.
