Professional services firm PwC opened a new office at the One Station Hill development in Reading, Berkshire, on 9 March 2026. The move is a significant expansion for the company in the Thames Valley and is intended to improve local business services and job opportunities in the town centre.
The firm has moved 650 employees and 23 partners to the new site from its previous office at Forbury Place, which had been its home for 13 years. The new workspace spans more than 41,954 square feet and is located across the fifth and sixth floors of the building. This new facility is designed to support modern ways of working and meets high environmental standards.
The office fit-out has already received a top sustainability award known as BREEAM Outstanding. According to the Thames Valley Chamber of Commerce, the site is also expected to achieve a high-level wellness certification called WELL Platinum later in the spring of 2026. These awards recognise the building’s focus on environmental impact and the health of the people working inside.
Gareth Murfitt, a Reading Market Senior Partner at PwC, said the move is a major milestone that shows the company’s dedication to the region. By moving directly opposite Reading Station, the firm aims to use the town’s improved train links to support its long-term growth. The One Station Hill project is part of a larger plan to transform the area around the railway station into a modern district for businesses and residents.
