The West Northamptonshire Council is starting a series of road repairs across Northampton, Northamptonshire, this March to improve the town’s streets. These local improvements will involve several temporary road closures and diversions, and residents are encouraged to plan for potential travel delays during the work.

Crews will carry out an overnight project on Lumbertubs Way beginning at 8:00 pm on 11 March 2026. This work is expected to be finished by 4:00 am on 12 March 2026 to help reduce the impact on daytime traffic.

Further daytime repairs are planned for 23 March 2026 on both Broadway East and Danefield Road. These streets will be closed between 9:00 am and 3:30 pm while workers fix the road surfaces.

These council projects are part of a larger effort to maintain local infrastructure alongside work from utility companies and HS2 Ltd. Residents can find live updates and suggested diversion routes by checking the council’s interactive map online.
