The Met Office has forecast strong winds and heavy rain for Royal Tunbridge Wells, Kent, on 12 March and 13 March 2026.

Forecasters expect peak wind gusts to reach 47mph on Thursday and rise to 48mph on Friday. Heavy rain is also likely to move through the area overnight, with a 90 to 95 per cent chance of downpours in the early hours of Friday morning.

Residents are advised to prepare for potential travel disruptions and should secure loose outdoor items like garden furniture to prevent damage. While the heavy rain is expected to clear by dawn on Friday, the windy conditions will persist through the day before a drier and calmer outlook arrives for the weekend.

The Environment Agency is currently monitoring the situation across England to manage any necessary flood warnings. People are encouraged to check local updates while the windy conditions continue through the end of the week.
