On 11 March 2026, Tendring District Council announced the return of the annual Tendring4Growth Business Awards for its fifth year in Clacton-on-Sea, Essex. These awards recognise local businesses that help the district’s economy grow and highlight vibrant places to work.

The awards ceremony takes place at the Princes Theatre in October 2026 as part of a two-week event dedicated to local commerce. Regional business support provider Colbea has returned as the main sponsor for the event.

Several other organisations are supporting the 2026 awards, including Colchester Institute, Surya Hotels, and Rose Builders. Categories for this year include awards for innovation, hospitality, and a special People’s Choice award.

Councillor Ivan Henderson, deputy leader of the council, said the strong response from sponsors shows how the awards have become a prestigious event. He noted that the early influx of support helps promote investment and the long-term health of the commercial sector.

Other local companies involved in sponsoring categories include Esign Media, KAT Marketing, VGM Facilities Management, and the Pickering Group. The council aims to use the event to celebrate local success and encourage entrepreneurs across the district.
