Children across Sunderland, Tyne and Wear, can take part in a series of Easter-themed craft sessions at local libraries between 7 April and 17 April 2026. Sunderland Libraries is hosting the programme to provide families with affordable creative activities during the school holidays.

The craft sessions will be held at the City Library at the Museum and Winter Gardens, Washington Library, and Houghton Library. These events are designed to help parents find low-cost ways to keep children entertained and learning while they are away from the classroom.

In addition to the craft workshops, the library service is running other holiday activities including Design and Make sessions and family film screenings. These varied events are intended to offer something for children of all ages and interests across the community.

Providing these sessions is part of a wider commitment by Sunderland City Council to offer educational and community support throughout the year. The library service regularly hosts events like story times and seasonal workshops to engage local residents.
