A 36-year-old man was arrested at the Wolverhampton train station in the West Midlands on 11 March 2026. He was taken into custody by the Safer Travel Police after he tried to run away from officers at the station.

The man was wanted for several crimes, including a robbery and six counts of shop theft. He was also being sought for a recall to prison, which happens when someone is required to return to jail after breaking the terms of their release.

When the officers caught the man, they found him carrying items that they believe were stolen. This arrest is part of ongoing work by local teams to keep public transport hubs safe for everyone who uses them.
