Residents in Portsmouth, Hampshire, will see changes to local transport as First Bus moves to a Sunday timetable for the Easter bank holidays. On Good Friday (3 April) and Easter Monday (6 April), most buses will follow a reduced Sunday schedule, though a standard Saturday service will remain in effect on Saturday, 4 April. Normal operations will resume across the network on Tuesday, 7 April 2026.

Several specific routes will not run at all on Good Friday or Easter Monday, including services 11, 21, 28, and 28A. Other routes that will stay off the road during these two days include the C1, C2, F1, F2, PDW, PR3, QA1, RED, SD4, SD5, SD7, U1, and U2.

People using concessionary bus passes will be able to travel for free at any time during the four-day holiday weekend, from 3 April through 6 April. However, the customer service offices for the bus company will be closed for the duration of the bank holiday period, meaning staff will not be available to answer phone calls or messages until the following Tuesday.

Passengers are encouraged to check their specific routes on the bus company website or mobile app before starting their journey. Because weekday timetables will not be in use on the bank holidays, some regular trips may start later or finish earlier than usual over the holiday period.
