The Met Office has warned residents in Reading, Berkshire, to prepare for a day of strong winds and rain this Sunday, 15 March 2026. The national weather service expects wind gusts to reach up to 34mph, which could cause travel delays and minor disruptions across the town.

Conditions are expected to turn wetter by midday, with a 50 per cent chance of rain forecast for 1pm. The afternoon will likely see a mix of overcast skies and showers, ranging from light to heavy at times.

Although it is early spring, the combination of wind and rain will make the air feel much colder than the actual temperature. Experts predict the “feels like” temperature will drop as low as -1°C during the day.

Local people are encouraged to take care when travelling on the roads due to the breezy and wet conditions. The unsettled weather follows a typical pattern for this time of year as the seasons transition.
