Residents in the Lakes Estate area of Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, are safe after Thames Valley Police safely resolved a local incident on 14 March 2026. Officers confirmed that there is no ongoing risk to the community following the police operation.

The police helicopter was sent to the scene earlier in the day to help officers on the ground deal with the situation. Police have since stated that the matter was brought to a safe conclusion and thanked local people for their help during the response.

The neighbourhood is currently in the middle of a major building project managed by Milton Keynes City Council. This work is bringing nearly 200 new council homes and fresh community shops to the estate.
