The Channel Rotary is hosting an open evening in Folkestone, Kent, on Wednesday, 22 April 2026, to show residents how they can support local charity work. The event will start at 6:30pm at The Sailbox on the Folkestone Harbour Arm, giving the public a chance to learn about the group’s efforts to help the community.

The organisation has been active in the town since June 1980 and focuses on raising money for local schools, hospices, and families in need. Former club president Geoff Milsted is the lead contact for the event and will share information about how the club operates and its history of service.

People who want to attend are asked to get in touch with Mr Milsted on 07976 276633 to book their place. This session is designed for anyone interested in giving back to the community or finding out more about becoming a member of the group.

For more than 40 years, the club has provided hands-on support for various causes across the region. This open night is part of a plan to involve more residents in local projects and ensure the group can continue its charitable work in the coming years.
