Residents in Torquay, Devon, can now use clearer information to find bus routes that travel directly to major supermarkets. Torbay Buses has updated its service details for March 2026 to help people get to the shops from local neighbourhoods like St Marychurch and Chelston.
The company runs a group of routes called the Sainsbury’s Services, numbered from SB1 to SB6. These routes are built to take passengers from their homes to large shops at The Willows and on Brixham Road.
The SB5 service travels from St Marychurch and Watcombe to the supermarket at The Willows on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. People living in Shiphay and Chelston can take the SB6 bus to the same shop on those same days.
Full timetables and maps for these routes are now available on the official website. By making this information easier to find, the bus company hopes to help residents plan their shopping trips without needing to use a car.
