The Herts & Middlesex Wildlife Trust has cancelled two upcoming nature events at Stocker’s Lake in Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire. The decision affects sessions that were meant to take place over the next few weeks at the popular local nature reserve.

Organisers have called off the ‘Help To Build A Bee Tower’ workshop, which was originally set for 21 March 2026. The ‘Five Lakes Springtime Walk’ that was due to happen on 11 April 2026 has also been removed from the spring calendar.

Stocker’s Lake is a 40-hectare site owned by Affinity Water and managed by the Wildlife Trust. The area is a well-known spot for birdwatching and is home to the largest heronry in the county.

The Trust has not given a specific reason for why the activities will no longer go ahead. Local residents who were planning to visit the reserve for these specific sessions are being made aware of the changes to the activities planned for this year.
