The Bournemouth Town Centre BID has significantly increased its work to remove graffiti across the town centre in Dorset to improve the look of the local area. Throughout 2025, the team successfully cleared 359 sites, with the speed of the cleaning operation continuing to rise into the start of this year.

In January 2026 alone, the group cleaned 65 different graffiti sites to keep streets and shopfronts tidy for shoppers and businesses. The organisation uses a specialist cleaning service that responds quickly to reports of vandalism to stop it from becoming a long-term problem.

This work is part of a wider effort to make the town cleaner and greener, which is supported by Martin Davies, the chair of the Bournemouth Town Centre BID. The team works in partnership with the BCP Council, which manages the standard street cleaning across the region.

While professional crews focus on daily maintenance for local businesses, community members also take part in larger volunteer events like the annual Big Bournemouth Clean Up. These combined efforts aim to protect the town’s appearance and create a more positive environment for everyone.
