Warwickshire Police are asking for witnesses to come forward after reports of suspicious activity on Highland Road in Leamington Spa, Warwickshire. The incident took place at approximately 8pm on 20 March 2026. Police Community Support Officer Rebecca Sear issued an alert on 22 March 2026 for anyone who saw anything unusual or has CCTV footage to get in touch.

The Leamington North Safer Neighbourhood Team is currently making theft and nuisance motorbike use a priority until 31 March 2026. Residents are encouraged to report problem motorbikes through the Safe in Warwickshire scheme. This community tool has already helped officers seize more than 96 motorbikes in nearby Nuneaton and Bedworth after residents reported information about where they were being stored.

This appeal comes at a time when local police are dealing with a reduction in funding for some crime prevention efforts. A 1 million pound government grant that funded Operation Resolve, which paid for extra patrols in hotspot areas, was cut earlier in 2026. Local officials have raised concerns that it will be difficult to keep the same number of officers in these areas without this extra money.
