South Derbyshire District Council is hosting its latest Tenant Housing Roadshow for local residents on Tuesday 7 April 2026 at Gresley Old Hall in Swadlincote, Derbyshire. The free drop-in event runs from 12pm to 3pm and gives council tenants the chance to speak with housing teams and local support groups in person.
More than 12 teams and organisations will be on hand to offer guidance, including housing officers from South Derbyshire District Council and staff from Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service. Visitors can also meet with Derbyshire Police and the mental health charity Derbyshire Mind to discuss community safety and wellbeing.
The South Derbyshire Food Hub will be available to discuss emergency food help, alongside Smoke Free Derbyshire and staff from Rosliston Forestry Centre. This event is part of a wider effort to bring council services directly to local neighbourhoods following a similar session held at Swadlincote Town Hall in March 2025.
Families can enjoy a variety of free activities including face painting, a bouncy castle, and a scavenger hunt while adults visit the information stalls. There is no need to book a place for the event at the historical Gresley Old Hall, and residents can stay for as long or as little as they like.
