The Body Shop is celebrating its 50th anniversary on Friday, 27 March 2026, by giving away free gifts to customers at the Golden Square shopping centre in Warrington, Cheshire. The event marks five decades since the brand was founded and will feature exclusive cupcakes inspired by a television baking champion.

The first 50 shoppers to visit the store on Friday will receive a free goody bag worth more than £45. Visitors can also enjoy celebratory cupcakes inspired by Jasmine Mitchell, the medical student who won the 2025 series of the Great British Bake Off.

This milestone event takes place 50 years after Anita Roddick opened the first branch in Brighton in March 1976. The celebration follows a recent period of change for the company, which was bought by the Auréa Group in September 2024.

The hosting venue is the town’s primary shopping destination and has served the local area since it first opened in 1974. It currently features 133 shop units across 675,000 square feet in the centre of Warrington.
