Three Rivers District Council has confirmed that bin and recycling collection days will change for all households in Three Rivers, Hertfordshire, to accommodate the Easter 2026 bank holidays. No collections will take place on Good Friday 3 April 2026 or Easter Monday 6 April 2026.

Starting from 30 March 2026, collections will be moved forward by one working day. This means residents who usually have their bins collected on Monday 30 March 2026 will need to put them out on Saturday 28 March 2026 instead.

The changes apply to the black recycling bins, green rubbish bins, and silver food bins used across the Three Rivers District. Residents who pay for the brown garden waste collection service will also see their pickup dates change during this period.

In the week beginning 6 April 2026, collections will be delayed by one day. For example, bins that are normally emptied on Friday 10 April 2026 will be picked up on Saturday 11 April 2026.

The council updated the community about these changes on 23 March 2026 and encourages everyone to check their specific revised dates online. Normal collection schedules will return to the district once the holiday period has finished.
