Stockport County secured a 3-0 victory against AFC Wimbledon at Edgeley Park on Saturday, 28 March 2026, strengthening their position in the League One play-off places.

The match, which drew an attendance of 9,540, saw the home side take an early lead when Adama Sidibeh scored in the second minute following a low cross from Ben Osborn. Sidibeh was later replaced due to an injury in the 28th minute, with Kyle Wootton coming off the bench to score the second goal in the 39th minute. Oliver Norwood added a third goal during stoppage time at the end of the match.

While Stockport County held more defensive control with 23 tackles and 38 clearances, AFC Wimbledon saw more of the ball, maintaining 52.3 percent possession throughout the afternoon. Despite this, the away side was unable to break down the Stockport defence, led by goalkeeper Corey Addai who made four saves to secure a clean sheet.

Following the win, Stockport County remains in 5th place in the league table with 63 points from 38 games. This result leaves the club three points clear of 7th-placed Stevenage in the race for the play-offs. AFC Wimbledon currently sits in 14th position with 50 points after 39 games.
