The Norwich Jobs Fair returns to The Forum on Wednesday, 15 April 2026, offering local job seekers a free opportunity to meet face-to-face with more than 40 employers. Running from 10am to 1pm, the event aims to connect residents with vacancies across a range of industries as the city continues to navigate a shifting local labour market.

Organised by The Bridge Jobs Fairs, a company that began its operations in Norwich in 2010, the fair provides a platform for employers currently facing recruitment challenges. Local businesses have reported difficulties finding staff for roles in manufacturing, food production, and logistics often citing skills shortages and increased competition for workers. To help manage capacity, the event has an Eventbrite ticket allocation of 700 candidates.

Recent data from the Norwich City Council shows the area has a claimant count unemployment rate of 4.1 per cent. While this remains slightly higher than the national average of 3.9 per cent, Norwich has been identified as one of the country’s top job hotspots, ranking ninth in the UK with nearly 4,700 vacancies for every 100,000 people. Organisers note that these events remain highly effective, with 75 per cent of exhibitors historically hiring candidates they met at the fair within four weeks.

Attendees are encouraged to come prepared to make a strong first impression. Organisers recommend that job seekers dress smartly and bring an up-to-date CV and identification, as 85 per cent of visitors typically attend with the intention of applying for roles on the day. The event will take place at The Forum, a landmark building operated by The Forum Trust that has served as a central community hub since opening in 2001.
