Residents and visitors to Royal Leamington Spa can look forward to a full season of free activities as the town prepares for its 2026 Summer of Fun programme. Running from May through September, the initiative features a series of community-focused events designed to increase foot traffic and support local shops and restaurants.

The BID Leamington partnership, a business-led group that promotes the town, coordinates the series. According to the organisers, these festivals are intended to make the town a more interesting place to work, live, and visit while providing a boost to the local economy.

The 2026 calendar includes five major events that are all free to attend. The season begins with the Eurovision Festival on 16 May. This will be followed by the Leamington Peace Festival on 13 and 14 June, which is returning after a break caused by the pandemic. The event is being organised by a new team that includes one of the festival founders from 1978, and they are currently seeking community support to help restore the celebration.

Rounding out the summer, Art in the Park will take place in Jephson Gardens on 1 and 2 August. This will be followed by Warwickshire Pride on 22 August at the Pump Room Gardens. The season concludes with the Leamington Food and Drink Festival on 12 and 13 September, which is marking its 18th year.

Organisers noted that the success of these events relies heavily on volunteers who contribute hundreds of hours of their time. Warwick District Council is also supporting the programme by providing venue space and administrative assistance. Residents can stay updated on specific details for each event through the LoveLeamington social media channels, which serve as the primary source for news regarding the town centre initiatives.
