Residents in Bootle should prepare for a wet and windy Easter weekend, as the Met Office has issued a warning for unsettled conditions from Saturday 4 April through Monday 6 April 2026. As the area is located in the north-west of England, it is expected to see some of the most challenging weather during the holiday period.

According to the latest forecast updated on 31 March 2026, those planning outdoor activities should stay cautious. Saturday is expected to bring light rain with wind gusts reaching 38mph. While Sunday will see some sunny intervals, it is set to be the windiest day of the weekend, with gusts hitting 45mph and nighttime temperatures feeling as cold as 0C. Light rain is expected to return on Monday, accompanied by breezes of up to 35mph.

Steven Keates, a Deputy Chief Meteorologist at the Met Office, noted that while there remains some uncertainty, there is a strong signal for wet and windy conditions to continue into the Easter Weekend. Because of the wet conditions, the Environment Agency has also confirmed that flood warnings remain in force across England. Residents are encouraged to keep these conditions in mind when planning their travel and family gatherings over the coming days.
