Sunderland AFC fans have until 12pm on Saturday, 11 April 2026, to renew their season tickets for the upcoming 2026-27 campaign as the club continues its tenure in the Premier League. With thousands of supporters currently securing their seats, the club has introduced a new tiered pricing structure based on how long fans have held their tickets.

The club has categorised renewals into three groups: supporters who have held a season ticket since the 2022-23 campaign or longer, those with less than three seasons of tenure, and those who purchased a ticket from June 2025 onwards. Under this new system, prices have increased across the board. For the longest-serving fans, costs have risen by nearly 20 percent, moving from £460 to around £550, while the highest-priced ticket for supporters with three or more seasons of tenure is now £715.

Alongside these changes, Sunderland AFC is making physical improvements to the Stadium of Light. The club is expanding its safe standing area by more than 2,500 places into the Southwest Corner and is officially designating the South Stand as a dedicated singing section for home supporters.

The renewal period arrives during a time of transition for the club’s leadership. Chief Business Officer David Bruce will depart at the end of the current season as part of a wider organisational restructure. In the interim, Tom Burwell, the CEO of Bia Sports Group, is serving as the club’s interim CEO.

Any seats not claimed by the 11 April deadline will be released for general sale. A waiting list for the 2026-27 season is currently open, with priority access given to those who joined the list before 23 February 2026. Any remaining tickets will be available for purchase from 5pm on Monday, 20 April 2026. During the 2025-26 season, the club experienced high demand, selling over 38,000 season tickets and reaching 99.33 percent of its allocated capacity.
