A Kingswinford logistics firm has received a surprise donation of 45,000 chocolate Easter bunnies from Lindt & Sprüngli (UK) Ltd., which the company is now distributing to charities and community groups across the Black Country and West Midlands. The massive delivery arrived, filling 26 pallets at the JJX Logistics facility on the Pensnett Trading Estate.
The donation follows a social media appeal made by the firm for its annual Easter collection, an initiative it has run for several years to support local causes. The global chocolatier reached out to the team after spotting the request online. Managing Director John Joseph Donovan credited two of the firm’s internal sales staff, 26-year-old Eliza Little and 20-year-old Phoebe Homer, for their social media work that caught the attention of the manufacturer.
Deliveries are already underway to support those in need ahead of Easter on 5 April 2026. Organisations that have already received treats include the Black Country Foodbank, Black Country Mental Health, and the Mary Stevens Hospice in Stourbridge. JJX Logistics is currently coordinating further deliveries to ensure all the donated chocolates reach community partners.
Founded by Mr. Donovan in 1997, the company has grown from a single-vehicle operation to a team of 71 employees specialising in high-security transport. While the firm typically manages modest annual collections for local charities, staff have described this large-scale contribution as an extraordinary boost to their longstanding efforts to support the community.
