Residents and visitors in Peterborough can now travel by bus for half the price under a new initiative designed to support city centre businesses. The discount, which launched on 23 March 2026, is available for groups of up to three passengers travelling within the Peterborough town zone.

The offer is a partnership between Stagecoach East and Peterborough Positive, the city’s business improvement district. By reducing travel costs, organisers hope to encourage more people to visit the city centre for shopping, dining, and local events.

To claim the 50 per cent discount, travellers must download the Stagecoach app and enter the promotional code EAPBGROUP50 when purchasing tickets. The offer is limited to a total of 2,105 redemptions, and passengers are encouraged to use the app to check for availability.

The discount coincides with a range of seasonal activities taking place across the city during the school holidays. These include an Easter Egg Trail running from 26 March to 16 April, and an Easter Sunday Egg Trail at the Cathedral on 5 April. These events are part of an effort by Peterborough Positive, which represents over 400 local businesses and organisations, to increase footfall and make the city centre more accessible to families.
