Residents in Beeston should prepare for a windy Easter weekend as the Met Office tracks the arrival of Storm Dave. The storm is expected to bring gusty conditions and occasional rain to the area, though local flood risks remain very low.

According to the latest forecast, wind speeds in Beeston are set to climb throughout Saturday, 4 April, reaching a peak of 49mph by the evening. The gusty weather is expected to persist into Sunday, 5 April, with winds reaching 44mph. There is a 50 per cent chance of light rain on Saturday evening at 9pm, and a 30 per cent chance of rain early Sunday morning.

Despite the incoming wind, the Environment Agency has confirmed that there are currently no flood warnings or alerts in place for Beeston. The risk of flooding in the area is classified as very low for the next five days.

As the weather shifts, Met Office Deputy Chief Forecaster Tom Crabtree has advised members of the public to prepare their property for strong winds and to stay updated with the latest weather forecasts. Those planning outdoor activities should also be aware that pollen levels will be high on Saturday and Sunday, rising to very high on Easter Monday.

The weather is expected to improve by the end of the bank holiday. Easter Monday, 6 April, is set to be the driest and most settled day of the weekend, with sunny intervals helping to clear the remnants of the storm.
