Residents in Wiltshire should be aware that Wiltshire Council offices will be closed on Easter Monday, 6 April 2026. Normal operations at all council offices are expected to resume on Tuesday, 7 April 2026.

Most local libraries will remain closed throughout the bank holiday weekend. However, Melksham Library will offer self-service access from 8am to 2pm on Easter Monday. Mobile library services will not be operating on this date.

While council offices will be shut, the council’s 20 leisure centres across the county will remain open during the Easter break for those looking to use fitness or swimming facilities. Residents are encouraged to check with their local centre for specific opening times.

For individuals who require urgent assistance during the closure, the council provides an out-of-hours service. This line should only be used for immediate threats to health and safety, such as urgent social care needs, emergency housing issues, or serious highway faults. Residents can contact this service by calling 0300 456 0100.
