Residents in Washington can look forward to a warm and sunny start to the week before a shift in conditions brings cooler temperatures and stronger winds by Thursday. The Met Office forecast shows a steady rise in temperature over the first three days, offering a pleasant break following the unsettled weather experienced over the Easter weekend.

Temperatures will climb from 13°C on Monday to a high of 16°C on Tuesday, before peaking at 20°C on Wednesday. While these days will feature plenty of sunshine, those spending time outdoors should note that pollen levels are expected to be high or very high throughout this period. Additionally, the Met Office advises that UV levels remain moderate, and residents should consider using sunscreen during the middle of the day.

The weather will change significantly from Thursday, 9 April. Temperatures are set to drop to 12°C, and the community should prepare for more unsettled conditions, including a 40% chance of light rain and wind gusts reaching up to 34mph. This cooler, cloudier weather is expected to persist through the weekend, with scattered rain and gusts remaining a possibility.
