The Norfolk Constabulary is calling for the public to come forward with information after two bronze wildlife sculptures were stolen from a business on St Benedicts Street in Norwich.

The burglary took place at approximately 4.30am on Tuesday, 31 March 2026. According to police, an individual gained entry to the property by smashing a window. The stolen items include a larger sculpture of a barn owl in flight and a smaller piece depicting a swimming otter.

St Benedicts Street is a busy area known for its independent shops and cultural venues, including the Norwich Arts Centre. Officers are urging anyone who may have relevant CCTV, doorbell, or dashcam footage from the area at the time of the break-in to contact them.

Police are also asking residents to remain vigilant if they see these items for sale online, in a shop, or at an event. Anyone with information should contact the police quoting the reference number 36/22537/26. Non-emergency information can be reported via the force’s website or by calling 101, while 999 should be used for emergencies or if a crime is in progress.
