Residents in Southfields are invited to attend a meeting this Thursday, 9 April 2026, to discuss local safety concerns directly with their neighbourhood policing team. The event, hosted by the Southfields Residents Association, will take place at 18:00 at the Southfields Community Centre on Farmhill Road, Northampton.

Local officers from Northamptonshire Police will attend the meeting to provide updates on issues in the area and offer advice on concerns raised by attendees. The notification for the event was shared by Police Community Support Officer Rose Turner.

This community engagement follows the force’s recent publication of a new Anti-Social Behaviour Action Plan. The plan, released by the police this week, outlines eight key objectives for the coming year to prevent and respond to anti-social behaviour across the county. According to the force, this initiative aligns with the government’s commitment to community safety, which sets out what residents can expect from their local officers.

Superintendent Paul Cash, who serves as the force’s lead for anti-social behaviour, noted that tackling these issues remains a top priority due to the impact they have on people’s lives. The force currently operates 34 neighbourhood policing teams across the county, supported by ongoing efforts to increase high-visibility patrols in areas where such issues are most likely to occur.

Residents who wish to stay informed about local policing updates and alerts can sign up for the Northamptonshire Talking service.
