The Asian Food Night Market returns to St Mary’s Church in Stockport this Friday, 10 April 2026, offering residents an evening of street food and live entertainment. The event, held at 48 Churchgate, will run from 5pm until 10pm.

Organised by the community group EatGoodWest UK, the market has become a regular fixture in the local calendar over the past two years. Visitors can explore a variety of stalls featuring authentic cuisine from countries including Japan, Korea, Thailand, China, Malaysia, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. Entry to the market is free, and attendees are invited to dine inside the historic church, which has stood on the site for over 700 years.

According to organiser Chris, the group aims to use the space to bring people together, support local Asian cooks and small business owners, and provide a welcoming community atmosphere. The initiative follows the group’s involvement in organising the Stockport Moon Festival earlier this year, which drew 5,000 visitors to the town centre.

The Asian Food Night Market is held on the second Friday of every month, with the next market following on 8 May 2026. These events are listed among the activities supported by Stockport Council as part of the broader efforts to revitalise the area. Additionally, residents can look forward to upcoming Foodie Friday events at the Market Place on 24 April and 29 May 2026.
