Residents in Wolverhampton should prepare for wet and windy conditions this Saturday, 11 April 2026, as the area faces its most unsettled weather of the week. According to the Met Office, light rain is expected early in the morning with a probability of 95 percent at 6am, following a band of heavy rain overnight.

Saturday will also be notably blustery, with wind gusts expected to reach 37mph. While the actual high temperature is forecast to be 11°C, the combination of strong winds and rain means it will feel closer to 6°C throughout the day. Residents planning to be outdoors should also be aware that afternoon showers may bring hail and a risk of thunder.

Despite the incoming wet weather, the Environment Agency reports that there are currently no flood warnings or alerts in place for the Wolverhampton area. Hay fever sufferers should also note that pollen levels are expected to be moderate on Saturday.

This weekend marks a return to typical April conditions after an unusually warm spell earlier this week, which saw parts of the UK experience record-breaking early April temperatures. With average daytime highs in the region usually reaching 12°C this month, the upcoming weather represents a shift back toward seasonal norms.

Conditions are expected to improve from Sunday onwards. The forecast shows sunny intervals and lighter winds returning to the area, with temperatures gradually climbing to reach 16°C by the middle of next week.
