Entrepreneurs and those looking to start a new business in Slough can attend the second annual Start-up Festival on 22 April 2026. Organised by The Skills and Business Hub, the event will take place at Slough & Langley College from 2pm to 7pm.

The festival aims to connect founders and innovation enthusiasts within the local community. It is completely free to attend, and the organisers are also offering free stalls for start-ups and aspiring business owners who wish to showcase their work.

This event follows the inaugural festival held in March 2025, which brought together more than 100 entrepreneurs, mentors, and local residents. By moving this year’s event to the college campus, organisers are looking to foster greater collaboration between the local business community and further education providers.

Slough has been identified as a significant area for new business growth, with an economic turnover of approximately £7.5 billion. To support this ongoing development, Slough Borough Council has invested £1 million into programs for both new and established businesses. This includes initiatives such as The EYE Lab, which provides training and funding opportunities for local people aged 16 to 30.
