Families in Portsmouth can now book places for a range of activity courses taking place during the upcoming May half term break. Pompey in the Community has announced that its holiday programme will run from Tuesday 26 May to Friday 29 May 2026, offering sessions for children of various ages across multiple different venues.
The charity is hosting these holiday sessions at the John Jenkins Stadium on Moneyfield Avenue, as well as at Bay House School, Bedales School, Purbrook Park School, Chichester College, and St Johns School in Gosport. Parents and carers have the option to book full courses or individual days for their children.
The activity programme includes multi-sport courses for children aged 5 to 12, goalkeeping training for those aged 8 to 13, and a nursery taster class called Nelson’s Future Blues for children aged 3 to 5. There are also specific girls-only sessions available for children aged 5 to 13. Prices for the sessions start from £6, with various options available depending on the length of the course.
Beyond the May half term activities, the organisation has also planned a week-long residential girls’ football camp for those aged 11 to 17. This event will take place from Monday 6 July to Sunday 12 July 2026 at the Royal Holloway, University of London, and offers both residential and day boarding options.
As an independent charity affiliated with Portsmouth Football Club, the organisation provides programmes that benefit more than 36,000 people each year. The John Jenkins Stadium, which serves as a central hub for many of these activities, is a purpose-built facility representing an £8.4 million investment in the local community.
