Residents in Beeston should prepare for a wet and windy day this Wednesday, 15 April 2026, as the Met Office forecasts unsettled conditions moving across the area. While the rest of the week is expected to be calmer, Wednesday will bring heavy rain and strong gusts that may cause travel and outdoor activity disruptions.

The worst of the weather is expected during the mid-afternoon. During this time, the chance of precipitation is expected to reach high levels, and visibility may drop due to the heavy downpours.

In addition to the rain, wind gusts are expected to reach up to 32mph. Although the maximum temperature is forecast to be 18°C, the combination of wind and high humidity will make it feel considerably cooler.

According to the East Midlands regional outlook, the heavy rain and gusty winds are expected to move east late in the afternoon. The unsettled weather marks a sharp contrast to the calmer conditions surrounding it.

Anyone with travel plans or outdoor tasks should consider potential delays for Wednesday afternoon.
