Hertfordshire Constabulary detectives are appealing for witnesses after a man was assaulted outside The Bakehouse pub in Welwyn Garden City on the night of Friday, 13 March 2026.
The incident occurred at approximately 11pm near the Kwik-Fit on Bridge Road East. According to police, a man left the pub with his girlfriend following a verbal argument and was then allegedly punched and kicked by another man, causing facial injuries.
A 25-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm. He has since been released on police bail while enquiries continue.
