A 35-year-old man who was reported missing in Poole has been found safe, according to Dorset Police.
Daniel was last seen in the Redhoave Road area of Canford Heath at around 3.30pm on Tuesday 14 April 2026. Following enquiries and searches conducted by police, he was located and the situation was confirmed as resolved safely.
During the search, officers had issued a new image of the 35-year-old and indicated that he may have travelled by train in the direction of Wareham. The investigation was led by Detective Chief Inspector Amy Wilson, with Inspector Matthew Love initially appealing to the public for information regarding his welfare.
Dorset Police, which serves the wider area including the Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole unitary authority, has recently updated its procedures regarding missing person investigations. These policy changes followed recommendations from the Independent Office for Police Conduct regarding the force’s approach to such cases. The changes include implementing joint training on search operations with other emergency services and volunteer rescue organisations.
Police have thanked members of the public who shared the appeal for information during the search.
