Nine local fundraisers took to the skies on 10 April 2026 to raise more than £4,500 for the Huddersfield Town Foundation. The group completed the Terrier Skydive at the Black Knights Skydiving Centre near Lancaster, with all proceeds going to support the charity work of the official Huddersfield Town Football Club organisation.

The funds raised will go directly towards the charity’s various programmes, which focus on areas such as youth development, health, and community welfare across Kirklees. Lucy Summerton, the Fundraising and Partnerships Manager at the Foundation, noted that the money raised will make a real difference to the lives of people in the local community.

Founded in 2012 by chairman Dean Hoyle, the organisation initially set out to establish breakfast clubs in schools to help children start their day with a healthy meal. The programme has since expanded significantly, now facilitating over 40 breakfast clubs and having served well over 2.5 million breakfasts to local children. Since its inception, the charity has delivered over £13.1 million in social value to the Kirklees area, supporting more than 6,500 people.

Sam Dainty, who was appointed as chief executive officer of the Foundation in February 2025, described the skydive as a bold challenge that reflects the spirit of the charity and the community it serves. The event featured nine participants who took on the jump to raise money for the Foundation.
