Families across Peterborough received news regarding their children’s primary school placements on 16 April 2026, marking this year’s Primary National Offer Day.
According to Peterborough City Council, 96.16% of children were offered a place at their first preference school for the upcoming academic year. Furthermore, 99.16% of pupils secured one of their top two choices, and 99.95% received an offer for one of their top three preferred schools.
Parents who submitted their applications online were able to view their offers through the council’s Parent Portal. Those who applied using paper forms received their notifications via post.
John Gregg, the Executive Director of Children and Young People’s Services at the council, oversees the admissions process. All families must accept their school place offers directly with the allocated school by 30 April 2026 to ensure their spot is secured for the start of the term in September.
