Residents in Luton can expect a week of largely dry and sunny weather as high pressure moves across the country. According to the Met Office, temperatures will climb from 13°C today to reach a peak of 18°C by Thursday, 23 April 2026, before remaining between 15°C and 17°C throughout the weekend.

While there is a 40 per cent chance of rain this afternoon, the rest of the week is expected to stay dry with less than a 5 per cent chance of precipitation. Night-time temperatures will remain cool, hovering around 4°C for much of the week, with a slight rise to 6°C by Sunday.

The sunny conditions bring a moderate level of ultraviolet rays. The Met Office advises residents to use sunscreen during the middle of the day to stay protected while enjoying outdoor plans or gardening.

Air quality in the area remains low, which is suitable for regular outdoor activities. While pollen levels are moderate today due to birch pollen, they are expected to drop to low levels for the remainder of the week.
