The Watford Central Neighbourhood Policing Team is set to host mobile police station sessions at three popular retail parks across Watford on 30 May 2026. This initiative aims to increase police visibility and provide residents with a convenient way to speak directly with officers, report community concerns, and receive crime prevention advice without needing to visit the main station on George Street.

The mobile units will visit the following locations throughout the day:

  • Waterfields Retail Park, New Road: 9am – 11am
  • Watford Arches Retail Park, Lower High Street: 11am – 1pm
  • Century Retail Park, Dalton Way: 1:30pm – 3:30pm

These visits follow a period where local authorities have focused on addressing crime trends in the area. In February 2026 alone, 316 crimes were recorded in Watford Central, with the most frequently reported incidents including violence and sexual offences, anti-social behaviour, and shoplifting.

Watford MP Matt Turmaine has frequently highlighted that reporting crime remains essential for police to identify patterns and effectively solve cases. Local police leaders have also noted recent operational improvements, with Chief Constable Andy Prophet reporting that a reorganisation of the force in 2025 has led to a 50 per cent increase in solving more crimes than it did in the previous year.

Residents are encouraged to use these upcoming sessions as an opportunity to engage with their local officers and contribute to the safety of the community.
