As of 16 April 2026, the venue has officially joined the national Good Play Zones network, a partnership aimed at providing play areas that support children’s social, physical, and emotional growth.
The network is led by The Good Play Guide, an organisation founded in 2012 by child development expert Dr Amanda Gummer. The partnership integrates professional child development standards into the local leisure environment, offering visitors themed play sessions, opportunities for toy trials, and the chance to take part in play-based research.

In addition to these new activities, the centre continues its commitment to inclusive play through monthly sessions designed for children with special educational needs and disabilities. These sessions take place on the first Friday of every month from 6:30pm to 8:30pm, providing a calmer and more supportive environment for families.
