The Wellingborough Neighbourhood Policing Team is hosting two community drop-in sessions this week to give residents a chance to raise local concerns and receive crime prevention advice. These meetings, which form part of a wider effort by Northamptonshire Police to increase officer visibility and accessibility, are open to anyone looking to speak directly with their local police officers outside of emergency situations.

The first session takes place today, 20 April 2026, at the Hemmingwell Community and Skills Centre, located at 127 Nest Farm Crescent. A second session will follow on Friday, 24 April 2026, at the car park of The Red Lion, located at 63 London Road in the historic village of Bozeat.

These sessions aim to address ongoing community safety priorities across Wellingborough, where the crime rate has been reported as being above the national average. By meeting directly with residents in Hemmingwell, an area with a complex history regarding crime, and in nearby Bozeat, the police aim to better understand and respond to neighbourhood issues.

The initiative aligns with broader community safety goals supported by Wellingborough Town Council. The council regularly works to represent local views on safety and encourages residents to report anti-social behaviour to the police.

For non-emergency matters outside of these sessions, residents can contact the police by calling 101 or by using the online reporting tools available through the force website, including a live chat service that operates seven days a week between 8am and 7pm.
