Families in Swindon will have the chance to get up close with exotic wildlife this weekend as the Mad4Animals interactive show returns to Lydiard Park on 25 and 26 April 2026.

The event, hosted on the grounds owned and managed by Swindon Borough Council, features animals from around the world including snakes, spiders, and birds. Guests can attend one of three sessions each day at 10:30am, 1pm, and 3pm, with each show lasting approximately 90 minutes.

Following the performance, attendees will have the opportunity to handle some of the animals and take photographs, including with giant snakes. Organisers note that for safety and space reasons, pushchairs are not permitted inside the circus tent where the show takes place.

Tickets are priced at £7.50 per person plus a booking fee, though children aged two and under can enter for free. Due to limited capacity, visitors are encouraged to book their tickets in advance online. The show is operated by Anthony Atherton, who holds the required licence for public animal performances and ensures all staff are DBS checked and fully insured.
